I'm completing my PhD this semester and
everyone I know tells me, "You've accomplished so much. We wish we could
be in your shoes!" However, I would secretly think, "Would you really
want my student loan debt, though? At least you have a home to show for
all your hard work!" This thinking always destroyed my self-worth and
confidence, and left me feeling as though I had made a mistake by
staying in school so long. I'll be honest; I still feel behind
financially--because I am, but as a new student to the financial
coaching program, I can say I no longer worry about how I will
accomplish my debt repayment goals. Before I started the coaching
program, I didn't even know the total amount of all my debts, which was
$160,429.06. Frightening, but just knowing provided me with the
motivation to stop accumulating more debt. I also discovered a great
deal about the emotions related to my spending behaviors. I now operate
solely on my income of a teaching assistant salary and more importantly,
I did not take out any additional student loans this semester. I also
paid off $3,316.49 of my debt in the last three months without feeling
deprived and I was still able to give my 10% tithe each month at church.
In fact, controlling my spending on a student salary has given me more
confidence, self-worth and joy than achieving my PhD this semester. The
coaching program has been the best part of my education hands down. I
now have a plan for paying off all of my debt within 5 years and am also
planning (not hoping and wishing) to purchase my first home next year as
well as pay it off within 10 years. Now when I think about what my
friends say of me, I feel truly proud of what I've accomplished with my
career because of what I'm doing with my financial life.

"Our lives are now in a place of financial security, happiness, and
good health. We now can live our lives rather than just survive it now.
There is a huge difference and believe me I am ever so grateful."

"Along with our coach's kind and patient guidance, Lisa and I have a
renewed sense of hope regarding our future.
For us, financial matters were a necessary evil, a complicated area of
our lives we almost tried to avoid dealing with. The Abundance training,
and our coach's encouragement, have changed all that. We now look for
ways to build success on top of success. Instead of being a sore spot,
it has become a kind of fun challenge. A challenge we are now convinced
we will conquer!!
The training is changing the way we think, not only in terms of dollars
and cents, but the manner we approach our lives as a whole.
Thank you for the program, and thank you for our coach."
Sincerely,

"I just wanted to let you know how much my coach has helped me
during the pass 11 months. She did not only help me organized my
financial portfolio, taught me how to save money and also, helped me
built a better relationship with my daughter by doing things with her
instead of buying her expensive items; I'm so thankful for that. When we
first started coaching sessions I was in so much debt and my cash flow
was in a big amount of negative every month but, after 8 months of
coaching. I learned how to talk to my tenants of whom was taking
advantage of me by deducting money for the repair of the house instead
of sending me the rent but, my coach coached me with strategies as to
how to talk to my tenants so that they would pay me rent on time and not
complain about everything. And best of all I started to have positive
cash flow each month by knowing which credit card to pay off first and
how to compound the money for the next credit card payment. I am
grateful for the opportunity to know her and to learn from her - she is
one fantastic lady and an excellent financial coach. I truly appreciate
everything she'd done for me. I hope someday I will have a chance to get
back in coaching with her again."
