After more than 30 successful years in sales, purchasing, customer relations, and the financial services industry, Barbara D. Huguenin joined the financial coaching industry to help individuals target their financial goals.
Barbara is very involved in the financial industry by contributing many hours with the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) - Inland Empire. As past president, Barbara brought much enthusiasm and excitement to
the organization. She has moderated and taught courses for other individuals in the insurance industry, pertaining to the need for individuals to plan for their financial future. In the pursuit of constant knowledge, Barbara is also a member of the International Coach Federation, San Diego Professional Coach Alliance, and the Financial Planning Association – Inland Empire.
Because of the strong need to communicate the importance of long-term care protection to the public, Barbara became quickly involved in other organizations. She was a member of the Murrieta Citizens for a Senior Center; Inland Association for Continuity of Care (IACC); and Networking for Seniors. In Barbara’s efforts to recruit high quality, caring individuals for CoachAmerica, Barbara has joined several Chambers of Commerce. They include the Murrieta Chamber, Ontario Chamber and Rancho Cucamonga Chamber. Since women tend to be the main caregivers for individuals with long-term care illnesses, Barbara also joined the For You Network, which is an affiliate of the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE). By doing so, Barbara felt that more women would, by being in contact with Barbara, understand the importance of learning more about long-term care protection. Barbara has also been the vice-president of the Southwest Riverside County Life Choices Network – End-of-Life Coalition, www.LifeChoicesNetwork.org, a partnership of individuals, organizations, and companies in Southwest Riverside County dedicated to the advancement of palliative care inspired by respect for the life and the dignity of the person. In another endeavor to bring knowledge to the community, Barbara is co-founder of Aging With Dignity, www.AgingWithDignity.com. Each year, the Aging With Dignity Symposium presents educational information on topics that have critical life importance for seniors and caregivers alike.
Barbara's strong commitment to long-term care protection motivated her to complete a comprehensive course on priority senior issues on November 11, 2000. The course is conducted by the Society of Certified Senior Advisors®, a national organization with over 14,000 members in all 50 states. Successful participants complete a thorough examination to earn the Certified Senior Advisor, CSA designation. Barbara has taken this educational initiative to become a professional leader in meeting the key needs and issues concerning senior citizens. To further her education, Barbara has earned the designation of LUTCF (Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow), and LTCP (Long-Term Care Professional).
